This past month, Babé Farms participated in a couple different food shows: The Get Fresh Food Showcase in Las Vegas, NV and the Testa Produce Food Show in Chicago, IL. We were excited to have the opportunity to exhibit at each of these shows, display a bounty of colorful veggies, and even show off some new products (Cone Cabbage and Brussels Sprout Leaves). Get Fresh and Testa are two of our favorite customers and we thank them for including us in these events!
Babé Farms Cone Cabbage is becoming a hot commodity among chefs - Check out this masterpiece by our friend, Chef Mani of the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach:

Persistent gentle to moderate (8 to 18 mph) westerly (onshore) winds will produce plenty of coastal low clouds, fog and cooler temperatures this weekend. However, moderate to fresh (13 to 24 mph) northwesterly winds could develop Saturday night.
It appears that a trough of low pressure will develop over California. Consequently, the jet stream will drop southward toward the Central Coast and will bring in a series of low pressure systems next week.
A low pressure system will approach the coast and will deliver strong to gale-force (25 to 38 mph) southerly winds and rain Monday night into Tuesday. Showers will persist into Wednesday.
A wet and mild atmospheric river type weather system will move across the Central Coast next Friday through Saturday for heavy rain and gusty southerly winds.
On behalf of everyone at Babé Farms, we'd like to wish a very happy birthday to our president and CEO, Jeff Lundberg! In honor of Jeff's birthday, our very own Teri Beam, whipped up quite the creative cake (complete with Babé Farms tractor, real carrots and cauliflower!). We hope Jeff had an excellent time celebrating his birthday with his family and spending time working on his classic car!
