New York Produce Show
CaliCabbage Wins Innovation Award

This year's New York Produce Show was a special one. The show was very well attended and we had the opportunity to catch up with many long time friends while displaying our full line of colorful veggies. As if that wasn't enough, we also took home some hardware! Babé Farms CaliCabbage was a finalist for the Produce Business/EPC Product Innovation Award - check out Rosie showing off our trophy below!

Holiday BBQ 2017

Each year, Babé Farms holds a holiday barbecue and gift raffle for our field crews to thank them for all of their hard work. The event is hosted by owners, Jeff Lundberg and Judy Lundberg-Wafer and our entire office staff works together to help set up and barbecue. Check out Ron Labastida (Food Safety Director), Loren Hiltner (Sales Manager), and Chris Cordero (VP) work the grills. Lupita Calderon (HR Manager) had her work cut out for her passing out all the gifts! This year was a huge success, we hope our crews enjoyed it as much as we did!

Babé Farms Christmas Party

This year's Christmas Party was held at the gorgeous Presqu'ile (press-KEEL) Winery in Santa Maria. An open bar, catering by BBQ in the Stix, and a gift raffle was the perfect recipe for an excellent party. Congrats to all of the gift raffle winners - Ande took home the grand prize (a 55' TV). On behalf of the Babé Farms staff, we'd like to say thank you to the Lundberg family and our HR department for putting on such a wonderful event!

One tradition we have around the holidays is a 'Ladies Christmas Party.' This years theme was "Wine & Design" - It looks like there was a little more wine than design!

#EatTheRainbow

Heading into 2018, one major trend we expect to see a lot of is veggie ribbons. Our creative team decided to do veggie ribbons Babé Farms-style and were surprised at how easy it was! As seen below, we used a vegetable peeler to "ribbon" rainbow carrots, purple ninja radish, and celery root, then finished it with sea salt, rosemary, and thyme. Bon Appetit!

G's Fresh Visits Babé Farms

This month, we were fortunate to host some visitors from the UK! Our new friends Emma, Anthony, and Ivaylo from G's Fresh were very enthusiastic to tour the farm and taste all the veggies. It was great to get their perspective on farming and be able to educate them on what we do. A big thank you to G's for including us in their visit to the USA!
