FAQs
For distributors/wholesalers/retailers: We offer FOB pickup from our shipping facility in Santa Maria or convenient delivery to the Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market and surrounding area, Sunday through Friday nights. A minimum order of 50 cases is required for delivery. Contact us to learn more.
For foodservice (chefs/restaurants/catering): Babé Farms products may be sourced through your local produce distributor. We have distribution across the United States and parts of Canada. If you need help identifying a distributor in your area, our sales team is happy to assist.
For individuals: Babé Farms does not currently ship consumer-direct, operate a farm stand, or sell to the general public. Our specialty vegetables may be available at select retailers; however, in most cases we do not work directly with retailers, so our information on where to purchase is limited.
Note: Our Coastal Valley Farms Organic Spring Mix and Baby Spinach are available at most Southern California Costco locations.
Babé Farms does not provide third-party logistics services. All freight is customer-routed. The only exception is our nightly delivery service to the Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market area noted above.
No. To maintain the cold chain and protect product quality and shelf life, Babé Farms does not ship produce via UPS, FedEx, or other small-parcel carriers.
Babé Farms is based in Santa Maria, California, on the Central Coast. Our farms are located approximately 150 miles north of Los Angeles and 250 miles south of San Francisco, in a region known for its ideal growing conditions and mild, Mediterranean climate.
Babé Farms is correctly pronounced bah-BAY (like “café”), reflecting the French inspiration behind our name. Over time, the name has naturally been Americanized, and many people, including our own team, pronounce it simply as “Babe Farms.” Both pronunciations are welcome.
The name Babé was inspired by our founder, Will Souza, and his travels through France, where he was influenced by European open-air produce markets. It reflects both that French inspiration and the many baby vegetables we grow and sell today.

Most Babé Farms products are grown year-round in the Santa Maria Valley. For certain climate-sensitive or seasonal crops, we partner with a trusted network of growers in South Baja, Mexico, to ensure consistent supply and quality.
To maintain our rigorous food safety standards, Babé Farms does not offer tours to the public. However, we welcome you to visit us during Santa Barbara County’s annual Farm Day. For more information on this event and to register, check out the SBC Farm Day website.
